Holistic Support

"The unexamined life is
not worth living"

Socrates

I live in Buckinghamshire with my husband Matthew. Between us we have four older children who we regularly see between University and work. Early on in my career I became a behavioural and communications consultant and primarily worked with clinicians to help them improve their skills in managing very challenging and difficult conversations such as breaking bad news and finding the most effective way to help patients in time bound environments. I also have thirty years of working with global blue chip companies helping their staff improve their communication skills. As for the company umbrella name, Cherry Tree is simply the name of the house we lived in when I was a young girl. The tree also has symbolic meaning of rebirth; life’s fragility; splendour; continuance; new beginnings; spring and health.

Around 20 years ago I went in search of a deeper meaning of life and studied with the Midlands School of Philosophy for 4 years. Following my inauguration into the school, I felt ready and inspired to help others at a deeper level and qualified as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, and have never looked back. There was a time where I desperately needed help and someone to talk to, and I simply want to offer that same listening ear to others in return.

Helping people cope with their emotional distress is a vocation and I am lucky enough to have had tremendous support to enable me to do it. I also qualified with FOIC as a Celebrant, another fulfilling career that I had wanted for a while.

My ethos to life is simple. I care about human beings. We can often feel that we are so different, no one will ever understand us or what we are going through. I care deeply about how we enter the world, how we live our lives and how we leave this world.
